William M. Senich

President and Chief Executive Officer, LVI

William M. Senich is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of LVI. Mr. Senich is a corporate leader and federal industry executive with over 25 years experience in the public and private sectors.  As a former partner with IBM's Global Business Services group, he was responsible for the company's National Intelligence Programs account providing professional services to the U.S. intelligence community.

 

Mr. Senich's prior positions include Vice President at L-3 Communications (formerly Titan Corporation) where he led the company's Special Operations Division which provided specialized engineering and analytical services to the U.S. Government.  He also held sales, marketing and engineering positions at Harris Corporation, Hughes Aircraft Company and Aerospace Corporation.

 

Mr. Senich received a BSE in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan and has completed all course work for a MSEE from the University of Southern California.

 

Peter M. Schulte
Managing Partner, CM Equity Partners

Mr. Schulte is a co-founder and co-manager of CMEP.
From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Schulte co-founded and co-managed a predecessor private investment partnership associated with Carl Marks & Co., and focused on acquisitions of middle-market companies.

 

From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Schulte was a member of the buyout group at Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder, Inc. From 1983 to 1990, Mr. Schulte was a Vice President of Salomon Brothers Inc. in corporate finance. Prior to graduate school, Mr. Schulte was employed at IBM in its Data Processing Division (DPD) focused on the financial services sector.

 

Mr. Schulte is a member of the Board of Directors of the following CMEP companies: Echo Bridge Entertainment, LLC, ICF International, Inc. (Vice Chairman) (NASDAQ: ICFI), Falcon Communications, Inc., Xebec Global Corporation, RGS Associates, Inc. (Chairman) and Preferred Systems Solutions, Inc. Mr. Schulte is also a director of ATS Corporation (OTCBB: ATCT).

 

Mr. Schulte received a BA in Government from Harvard College and a Masters in Public and Private Management (MPPM) from the Yale School of Management.

 

Joel R. Jacks
Managing Partner, CM Equity Partners

Mr. Jacks is a co-founder and co-manager of CMEP. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Jacks co-founded and managed Carl Marks Consulting Group, LLC. He has extensive experience in managing and operating companies in a wide variety of industries, including under-performing companies.

 

From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Jacks was involved in interim management and profit improvement programs for under-performing companies as a private consultant. From 1984 to 1988, Mr. Jacks served as CFO & IT officer, and later as CEO, of USSCO (a subsidiary of ADT, Ltd.), a distributor of security alarm and CCTV equipment throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. From 1976 to 1983, Mr. Jacks worked for The Penn Central Corporation as Director of Financial Planning and IT Director, and was involved with the restructuring of Penn Central's public securities. He was also assigned to the New York City Partnership to assist the NYC Transportation Authority as the IT vice president. Prior to 1976, Mr. Jacks was a management consultant for Deloitte Haskins & Sells.

 

Mr. Jacks is a member of the Board of Directors of the following CMEP companies: Echo Bridge Entertainment, LLC, Evans Consoles Inc., ICF International, Inc. (NASDAQ: ICFI), Martin Designs, Inc., Falcon Communications, Inc., RGS Associates, Inc. and Preferred Systems Solutions, Inc. Mr. Jacks is also a director of ATS Corporation (OTCBB: ATCT).

 

Mr. Jacks received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Jacks is a Chartered Accountant. He holds federal security clearances.

 

Robert J. Kohler
Outside Director

Mr. Robert J. Kohler serves as a Member of Board of Laguna Ventures Inc. (LVI). Mr. Kohler spent 18 years with the Central Intelligence Agency. His last assignment was as Director of the Office of Development and Engineering, Directorate of Science and Technology, in Washington, DC. From 1982 to 1985 he managed the engineering, development and operations of major technical collection systems in support of the National Reconnaissance Office and the CIA. Other CIA positions he held include; program group director, facility chief, and chief systems engineer and deputy program director. He joined CIA in 1967. From 1959 to 1967 Mr. Kohler was manager of the Photo-Science and Technology Department of the Itek Corp. in Lexington, MA.

 

DCI William Casey awarded Mr. Kohler the CIA Distinguished Intelligence Medal and the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal in 1985. He also received the Intelligence Medal of Merit and several other awards as a result of work on NRO programs. Mr. Kohler was elected one of the first Pioneers of the National Reconnaissance Office in 2000. In 2004 Mr. Kohler was given two awards by the DCI; the Intelligence Community Seal Medallion for work on the Constellation Architecture Panel and The DCI's Directors Award for "extraordinary fidelity and essential service" to the DCI.

 

Mr. Kohler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Photographic Science and Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1959 and currently serves his alma mater as a Member of the Board of Trustees.

 

Peter A. Marino
Outside Director

Mr. Peter A. Marino serves as a Member of Board of Laguna Ventures Inc. (LVI). Since 1999, Mr. Marino has been a private consultant for government and industry on defense and intelligence issues. Government clients include the Department of Defense, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, Department of Homeland Security, and the Central Intelligence Agency. From 1996-1999 hew was the CEO and President of Fire Arms Training Systems that designs, manufactures, and sells training and simulation systems. From 1991-1996 he was Senior Vice President of E-Systems an IT consulting firm. Prior to that, from 1988-1991 hew was the President and COO of Fairchild Industries, Inc. a major manufacturing company. From 1986-1988, Mr. Marino was the President/COO of Lockheed Electronics Company, Inc.

 

In 1970 Mr. Marino joined the CIA and served in several capacities until 1986. These tasks included personnel and equipment deployment, collections management, research and development, and identifying emerging technologies.

 

Mr. Marino received a number of technical and management awards including: 1987 - CIA Distinguished Intelligence Medal, 1986 - CIA Distinguished Officer Citation, 1985 - CIA Personal Service Award , 2000 - CIA Donovan Award for Exceptional Service, 2001 - National Reconnaissance Office Exceptional Service Award, and in 2004 - Director of Central Intelligence Award for Exceptional Service.

 

Mr. Marino earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Rollins College in 1963 and a Master of Science degree in Acoustics from the Pennsylvania State University in 1970. He is a Harvard Senior Executive Fellow since 1981.

 

He currently serves on the board of directors for: EarthSat, Corp, Morgan Stanley, ArgonST, Thetus Corp, Qinetiq North America, and KOR Electronics.

 

He is on numerous government advisory boards for the following agencies: Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Central Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and National Reconnaissance Office.

 

He also is a member of: President's Review of Intelligence, Blue Ribbon Task Force on Biometric Applications in Intelligence, Defense Science Board Task Force on ISR, and Principle of The Center for Excellence in Government.
